I took this photo of an alcohol vending machine back at the onsen by Mt. Fuji. I hope it will hold your interest as I continue to drown in translation work. There is an end to these cartoon scripts in sight, however, so I plan to return to your regularly scheduled snarkiness sometime soon.

That's almost MBA-style corporate speak: it wouldn't sound out of place on some Western company's "mission statement". Too lacking in the gratutitous use of "a ", "the" and "it" for proper randomtext "à la Japonaise", and the absence of punctuation quirks is almost worrying.
However the "harmony with nature" bit is a dead giveaway.
Gratefully, joyfully, painfully, pissedoffedly, reflectively, creatively SOBER since January 3, 2007! I have worked as a nightclub hostess, a pre-school teacher and a Japanese-English translator. Right now I am an English tutor and a non-fiction author who is trying very, very hard to become a novelist. Tokyo is home.
